Our current presbyter, Rev. Baktha Thiyagarajan, took over the ministry in June 2023.

CSI Tamil Parish, Al Ain was established on January 29, 1999, through the divine providence of God and with the efforts of loyal members from CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, and CSI Tamil Parish, Dubai.

The official inauguration took place on February 6, 1999, led by Rev. William Samuel from CSI Parish, Dubai, and Rev. V. David, the Vicar of CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi. Initially, we conducted regular services and Holy Communion in houses for about three months. However, due to security concerns, we were unable to continue with this arrangement. In August 2000, we were fortunate to secure a place of worship at the Hilton Hotel. Until then, we attended Communion services at CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, twice a month. We are grateful to Rev. Stantan Rubesh, the TEAM Field Chairman, for granting us permission to worship in the main hall of the TEAM facility starting from March 21, 2001. The pastors from CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, provided pastoral care and greatly contributed to the growth of our congregation in Al Ain.

Following Rev. David’s tenure in August 2001, Rev. James Prakasam assumed responsibility for CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, and ministered to C.S.I. Tamil Parish, Al Ain for nine months. Subsequently, Rev. Irvin Charles arrived in CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, in October 2002. During the interim period between these two pastors, Rev. Kumara Doss, who resided in Dubai, served as our honorary Pastor. In May 2006, after Rev. Irvin Charles completed his tenure, Rev. P. K. Samuel assumed leadership.

In the Annual General Body meeting held in 2007 at CSI Tamil Parish, Abu Dhabi, our request to function as an independent pastorate was accepted. Consequently, the CSI Synod approved CSI Tamil Parish Al Ain, and on April 17, 2008, The Most Rev. Dr. J.W. Gladstone, the Moderator of CSI, dedicated this church to the glory of God and provided us with a presbyter from CSI.

Starting from April 17, 2008, Rev. E. Sunin Spenzer served as the first full-time Pastor of our church. The Moderator of the Church of South India remained as the Bishop of our church and served until May 2011. Rev. D. Isaac Sundar Singh continued the Ministry from then until May 2014, followed by Rev. Davidson Paul Jacob from June 2014 to May 2017. Rev. M Christopher Rajendran assumed the ministry in June 2017 and continued until June 2020. Rev. S.P Baskar served as the pastor from August 2020 until May 2023. Our current presbyter, Rev. Baktha Thiyagarajan, took over the ministry in June 2023.
